 The 'World Sustainable Development Summit' is a major event of The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI).  The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and Ministry of Earth Sciences are the major participants in this summit.  TERI is a non-profit research institute based in New Delhi.  The 20th edition of this summit will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi.  The theme of this summit is 'Redefining Our Common Future: Safe and Secure Environment for All'.

 India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated 348 km Dobhi-Durgapur Natural Gas Pipeline section to the nation.  This LPG import terminal is a part of the Prime Minister's Energy Ganga Project.  He also laid the foundation stone of Haldia Refinery's second catalytic-isodevexing unit in the state.

 6. 'Asom Mala' program has been started in which Indian state?

 Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched a program called 'Asom Mala' in Assam.  It aims to improve highways and major district roads in the state.  The objective of this program is to provide quality inter-linking roads between national highways and rural roads.  Another objective of this scheme is to promote 'multi-model transport' in the state.

 India's first geothermal field development project will be set up at Leh in Ladakh.  A tripartite agreement has been signed for the project between Union Territory Administration Ladakh, Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) Energy Center.

 An Indian documentary film titled "Writing with Fire" has won the Audience Award in the World Cinema Documentary category at the Sundance Film Festival 2021.  The film describes the rise of 'Khabar Lahariya', India's only newspaper run by Dalit women.

 9. Recently the Ministry of Education has decided to name residential schools and hostels funded under the 'Samagra Shiksha Yojana'?

 The Ministry of Education has named 383 residential schools and 680 hostels funded under the 'Comprehensive Education Scheme' as 'Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Residential School'.  Under the Composite Education Scheme, the Ministry is provided financial assistance to the States and Union Territories to open and run residential schools, to promote schooling in sparsely populated areas and tribal areas.

 10. Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana is the scheme of which Union Ministry?

 Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana is a scheme launched under the Ministry of Women and Child Development.  It was launched in 2016.  Under this scheme, pregnant women and lactating mothers get Rs 5,000 on the birth of their first child in three installments.  The ministry recently announced that the scheme has crossed the figure of 1.75 crore beneficiaries by 2020.
