 Foreign grants received by NGOs are regulated by the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010 or FCRA.  After being registered with the Ministry of Home Affairs, NGOs are provided with a unique FCRA registration number, which is renewed every five years.  According to recent government data, FCRA licenses of more than 20,600 NGOs were revoked in the last 10 years on violation of the provisions of the FCRA Act.

 The Supreme Court (SC) has approved the proposed mechanism by SBI Mutual Fund to disburse Rs 9,122 crore to Franklin Templeton unitholders.  This distribution mechanism was devised in consultation with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and Franklin Templeton MF.  In April 2020, Franklin closed 6 loan schemes.

 The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) announced that 247 Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) made a profit of Rs 1.78 lakh crore during 2018-19.  Out of the total profits, 63 companies contributed 73% in the petroleum, coal and lignite and power sectors.  It has also been revealed that 189 CPSEs incurred a loss of Rs 1.4 lakh crore as on 31 March 2019.
