Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has launched a social security scheme 'Mukhyamantri COVID-19 Parivar Sahayak Sahayata Yojana' to provide financial assistance to the families who have lost their next of kin to COVID-19. Under the scheme, an ex gratia of Rs 50,000 will be given to each family that has lost a member to COVID-19 and an additional Rs 2,500 per month if the deceased was the sole breadwinner of the family. The Chief Minister has also launched a portal for this scheme.
